For 50 guests, most parties need about 50 chairs, 8 to 9 dining tables (assuming 6 guests per table), 1 serving table, 1 drink table, and optional tent coverage depending on weather.
What size tent do I need for a backyard party?
A 20x20 tent fits roughly 40 to 50 seated guests; 20x30 fits 60 to 75; 20x40 fits 80 to 100. Smaller groups of 20 to 30 often use a 10x20 tent.
